Current vs Projected Score Visibility: Added visual comparison indicators in both the executive review card and proposed enhancement card showing current score vs boosted score (e.g. 92 ➔ 98).
Upgrade Action Button: Apply Improvements button explicitly indicates the upgraded score target (e.g., 'Apply AI Improvements (Upgrade to 98/100)').
Non-Regressive Scoring Guard: Guaranteed that recipes enhanced with AI suggestions never drop or regress to a lower score on subsequent audits if only advisor changes were made.
Form & Draft Alignment: Brought identical current vs projected score comparison widgets and non-regressive score persistence to recipe_form.html.

v2.21.11

Interactive Run Trigger: Users can review what Gemini AI inspects (measurements, temperatures, allergens, chef tips) before explicitly clicking 'Run Kitchen Quality Audit'.
Adaptive Modal Header Controls: Re-run Audit button is cleanly hidden until an initial audit has been run, preventing confusing empty state triggers.

Authentic Culinary Advisor Score Synchronization

Authentic Audit Score Preservation: Removed artificial +6 score inflation in recipe detail and edit forms, saving genuine Gemini AI audit scores to SQLite and badge tiles.
Fixed DOMContentLoaded Variable Reference: Corrected variable typo in recipe_detail.html DOMContentLoaded handler so score ranges update without silent script exceptions.
Direct Score Synchronization: Ensured database cache and header score badges reflect real-time audit results across mobile and non-mobile browsers.

Projected Improved Score on Apply: Updated applyAiRecipeImprovements and draft improvements to save the projected enhanced score (94+) rather than the stale pre-improvement score.
Unconditional Badge DOM Sync: Removed restrictive textContent.includes('--') condition on DOMContentLoaded so cached advisor scores immediately update the page tile badge on every visit.

Fixed Re-Run Audit Result Visibility: Closed nested loading container div in recipe_detail.html so audit results are never concealed when the loading indicator is dismissed.
Added Optimal Recipe State Confirmation: When an audit finds no necessary modifications (measurements, temps, and steps are already optimal), displayed a reassuring confirmation card rather than an empty section.
Symmetrical Advisor Tile & Chip Alignment: Centered advisor-hero-card and advisor-empty-state within the modal viewport, eliminating left-side skew and aligning Kitchen Advisor chips vertically.
Force-Refresh Cache Invalidation: Ensured 'Re-run Audit' clears sessionStorage and sends force_refresh parameters for fresh analysis.

Mobile Viewport & Sticky Footer Constraint: Constrained advisor modals to 100dvh with scrollable modal bodies and sticky bottom action bars, keeping 'Close & Keep Editing' and 'Close' visible on mobile devices with browser bars.

Resilient Multi-Model Gemini Cascade & In-Modal Advisor Recovery

Expanded 7-Model Gemini Fallback Pool: Prioritized active Google Gemini models (gemini-3.5-flash, gemini-3.1-flash-lite, gemini-flash-latest, gemini-3.8-flash, gemini-3.7-flash, gemini-3-flash-preview) to bypass temporary Google 503 capacity spikes.

Cookbook Import Placeholder Sanitization: Removed missing page placeholder references ('mecham_recipes_page_32.jpg') on Recipes #42 and #43, eliminating 404 broken image boxes across recipe cards and headers.
Automated Media Filename Validation: Added strict is_valid_image_filename sanitization across get_recipe, get_all_recipes, create_recipe, and update_recipe in database.py, permanently preventing non-image strings from entering recipe_photos.

In-Place Allergen & Enhancement Note Deduplication: Implemented clean note merging that updates allergen warnings and enhancement summaries in-place rather than stacking duplicate paragraphs on re-runs.
Active Advisory Status & Prompt Strictness: Added active indicators in the modal when allergen warnings are already present in recipe notes, and strengthened AI evaluation guidelines so proposed improvements proactively resolve every flagged clarity omission.

v2.21.1

2026-10-07
